 Marans

Marans Chicken Breed – Everything You Need to Know

A French breed of chicken. Originates from the port town of Marans, in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of southwest France. It descended from local feral chickens with fighting chickens from India and Indonesia.

Silkie

Typically fluffy while their feathers feel silky and like satin. Has many unusual qualities, like black skin and bones, blue earlobes, as well as five toes on each foot. Most chickens have four toes on each foot.
